Kimberly Sturgis Cooper, born February 29, 1956 in Memphis, Tennessee, joined her Lord on September 8, 2008. Hers was a life defined by an outpouring of love, unselfishness, and care for others. Although she will be remembered for her career accomplishments as a Speech Pathologist and Therapist for the National Institute of Learning Disabilities, she was also actively involved in her church, and loved the outdoors. Joy and consideration encompassed all that Kim did as she cared for her family and friends. She went through many trials, but faced them all with grace and strength, abiding in the knowledge that ""in all things God works for the good of those who love Him."" Surviving is her loving husband, Jim, and sons Hunter, Andrew, Will, and James. Also surviving are her sister Kristen Coffee and family, brother Gregory Sturgis and his family, and mother Margaret Sturgis. A Memorial and Celebration of Life service will be held at 10am on Thursday, September 11, 2008, at Myrtle Grove Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 791-6179. In lieu of flowers, please direct memorials to Myrtle Grove Christian School, 806 Piner Rd., Wilmington, NC 28409.
