He was preceded in death by his father.
Kirby loved racing and building racecars. He and Ann owned P+L Total Mobility, he took pride in his work and working closely with the VA. Kirby loved putting up his Christmas light display every year for everyone to see.
He is survived by his mother Sarah Register (Johnnie), wife Ann Holland, son Jonathan Porter, daughters Stephanie Pauley (Larry), Fran Faircloth (Jason), step sons Gene Holland (Missy), Nathan Holland, sister Cathy Grice (Bryan), brother Harvey Porter, grandchildren; Cerina, Gage, Kaelee, Aaron, Jacob, Alyssabeth, Ashlynn, Emory, great grandchildren, Aubrey, Jeremiah, and Jocelyn.
The funeral service will be held at 6pm on Wednesday April 6, 2022 with David Porter officiating at Coble Funeral & Cremation Service at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 1155 Shipyard Blvd, Wilmington, NC 28412.
