Kristy Frazier

February 19, 1980 - September 27, 2023

Kristy Renee Frazier, 43, of Wilmington, NC, entered fully into the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 27, 2023. Born on February 19, 1980, she was the beloved daughter of Al and Penny Frazier of Charlotte.

After graduating from Myers Park High School and from King’s Business College as her class’s salutatorian, she began her career as a paralegal, first in Charlotte and later in Wilmington. She loved her vocation and excelled in her work.

Kristy’s spiritual life was likewise important to her. It was fostered in her early years at Sharon Methodist Church where she was a member. She was active in church, Sunday school, and youth groups. She truly loved her Lord Jesus and loved others. Through her church, she learned the importance of unselfishly helping others and being of good cheer. Her tender, loving heart moved her to help anyone she could. In fact, one longtime friend, Leanne, described her as “a beautiful soul” who made the world shine brighter.”

Having an upbeat personality and beautiful smile enabled Kristy to create a host of friends. Kristy loved her many Wilmington friends, and Charlotte friends, even though as adults they settled in different towns, Kristy kept those relationships alive.

Her family ties were important, as well. When she was young, she especially enjoyed the Maye gatherings. Being with her closest six cousins made her bright smile brighter, even though they were all male and UNC fans! A Wolfpack supporter all her life, along with her dad a NC State graduate, Kristy, nonetheless, was proud of her Tarheel connections.

A 2pm memorial service to celebrate Kristy’s life will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at SouthPark Church, 3151 Apex Drive, Suite 100, Charlotte, NC 28211. Special music will begin at 1:30pm. The service will also be live streamed on YouTube. Visitation will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church.

The Fraziers want to thank all the caregivers and staff of Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, and all Kristy’s wonderful friends in Wilmington and Charlotte, and family and church friends who have supported Kristy and her family through the trying days during and after her sudden illness.
