Lawrence Daniel (Pete) Rhodes

Lawrence Daniel (Pete) Rhodes, Jr. of Castle Hayne NC died peacefully at home October 12, 2013. Pete was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to many. He was born in Wilmington NC on June 19, 1929 to the late Lawrence Daniel Rhodes, Sr. and Bessie Rae Oldham Rhodes and preceded in death by his brother Donald Jackson Rhodes and his sister Edith Rhodes Bridger. Pete is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Reba Smith Rhodes, three sons, Daniel Ray Rhodes and wife Sherry, Michial Wayne Rhodes and wife Gail, Stephen Alan Rhodes and wife Donna, one daughter, Deborah Diane Rhodes, eleven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Pete proudly served his country in the US Marine Corp. He loved to travel and was always ready to go on a camping trip. He established Rhodes Heating and Air Conditioning Company in the 1960's where he loved serving his many customers until he retired. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at Andrews Mortuary Market Street Chapel. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 16, 2103 at Andrews Mortuary Market Street Chapel. Burial will be private.
