I miss you so much dad... I need you back. I want to be selfish and hug you once again, poke at you, and have giggle fits with you. I miss hugging you goodnight, you kissing my forehead, and saying "I love you". Nikolaus WILL know who you are. I promise. I love you dad. Always.

Larry was my big brother, my protector, my hero.  There are no words to describe what he meant to me . Whatever I write could never do justice.  I'm at a loss, frozen in time. Larry was taken too soon.   Too soon for his beautiful daughter, Tiffany, who is only 19.  Too soon for his two sons, Forrest and Adam who are teenagers themselves. Too soon for his mother and father who should never have had to experience the pain of losing their son.  Too soon for his adorable little Grandson, Niko, who Larry loved with all his heart.  He was so proud of Tiffany and Niko.  It's so sad that he wont be here to see his grandson grown up, and Niko will not get the chance to know Larry.  His death comes way too soon for his sisters, Leigh, Lindsay and myself.  Our only brother.  Our rock.  That goofy fool who could always make us laugh.  Who never failed to put a smile on our face.  Who could brighten your day with just a text message. Whos crazy, quircky, unique sense of humour brought laughter to so many people.  Too soon for countless friends who will cherish the memories of the time they had with Larry.  Larry could have lived forever, and it wouldn't have been long enough.  My world will never be the same.  Rest in Peace Larry.  I absolutely adore you.  Now you go fly high in the wind, the same wind that's in the Buffalo.

Larry Shepherd was my big brother and he was the best.  I will treasure all the times we spent together.  You will always live on in my heart, soul and mind.  I have always been so proud to be your sister.  I love you my favorite big brother.

Larry Shepherd was my brother and my best friend.  He was my baby brother and my only brother.  I remember the day he came home for the first time when he was born.  I was only four years old, but I remember standing in front of the picture window waiting for the car carrying my mama and baby brother to arrive.  When it did, I ran outside and down the sidewalk to greet them.  My mama knelt down and placed Larry gently in my arms.  It was love at first sight.   From that day on, I was fiercely protective of him and when he was old enough, he was fiercely protective of me.  My brother was always funny and goofy.  He loved to laugh.  He was kind, gentle, and thoughtful of everyone around him.  He loved with his heart and was loved by anyone who ever met him.  He was the best man I've ever known and I'm not sure how I can live without him.  I'll never get over the loss of my brother.  I loved him more than you can imagine and will miss him for the rest of my life.  I love you Larry.

Larry Shepherd was an excellent man.  He made friends everywhere he went, and put smiles on many faces.  His family was always in his thoughts.  He lived with his daughter, Tiffany Shepherd, his sister, Leigh Shepherd, and his nephew, David Avent.  His sons, Adam and Forrest, were just as big of a part of his life as any others.  Shelli Clary was his best friend.  They hung out every day and told each other everything.  He would go out on the weekends with Leigh, Shelli and David.  Together, they had so many priceless moments.  He was always courteous, and goofy.  Larry made his mistakes, just like everyone else.  But he always gave back ten fold.

I am so proud of the man that you have become not only in life but also in death.  As sad as we all are and as dark as the days, there are families out there are that are as happy as we are sad and their days are so much brighter.  I find comfort in knowing that you helped so many.  I am so fortunate that I visited you just two days before your spirit left this earth and that the last thing I said to you in this life is "I love you Larry"

I was fortunate to know Larry for over 20 years.  It makes me very sad that I will never see Larry again while I am on this earth.  My heart and my prayers go out to all of Larry's family.  I pray that you will all eventually find some closure and comfort knowing that Larry died like he lived, by giving to others in need.  I am sure God has already blessed Larry's spirit because Larry gave his organs to others in need after he passed on.  Larry, may you rest in peace in the arms of our Lord.

I'll always remember how you made me laugh, as a young kid as well as an adult.  You were one of the craziest / funniest people I ever met and am deeply saddened by your passing.  We'll laugh together again another day brother!
