Lloyd Franklin "Catfish" Grainger

He was born in Clarendon NC on December 6,1936 to the late Elbert and Sarah Grainger.

LF was an Airman in the USAF spending most of his enlisted time as a Jet Engine Mechanic in Japan.

He retired from International Paper after 40 years as a mechanic.

He was a recliner enthusiast and duct tape-MacGyver who enjoyed spending his free time with his grandkids and

watching NASCAR on Sunday's.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Bill Grainger. He is survived by sister Kathleen Eagle and

sister-in-law Shirley Grainger as well as three nephews and a niece. He was a loving husband to Deborah Grainger and

Father/Stepfather to Debbie Ganey, Linda Ward, Wendy Grainger, Jacqueline Salcedo,

Samantha Parks and George Parks. He will forever be remembered as "PawPaw" to an abundance of adoring grandchildren and

great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at Coble Ward & Smith 3915 Oleander Drive, Wilmington NC 28403 on Saturday July 23rd 2016 at 1pm.

A celebration of life officiated by Wilma Skipper will immediately follow at 2pm.
