She is preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur "Bill" Gonyea; one brother, Lewis; two sisters, Louisa and Betty; mother, Mary Agnes Lindsey and father, Lewis Lindsey.
She is survived by one son, Robert Gonyea and wife Susan; one granddaughter, Patricia Gonyea; and three great grandchildren, Jeffrey, Stephanie and Michael.
A visitation will be held Thursday, August 22, 2013 from 11:00am - 1:00pm at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Service, 3915 Oleander Drive, Wilmington, NC 28403.
