Mary Alene Broadhurst

Mary Alene Lawhon Broadhurst, 78, of Rocky Point, NC passed away Monday, April 16, 2012 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born in Smithfield, NC to the late John Howard and Vella Jane Lawhon. She was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Broadhurst, Jr.

Mary is survived by her sons, Don and wife, Brenda Lawson of Leland, NC, Steven Paul and wife, Kathleen Lawson of Rocky Point, NC, and Johnny Lawson of Rocky Point, NC; daughters, Barbara Gail and husband, Michael Ennett of Rocky Point, NC and Rachel Lee Wells of Whiteville, NC; sister, M. Rudeen Allen of Wilmington, NC; 14 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and one on the way.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Service Oleander Chapel with Pastor George Winterberg officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
