Mary Janice Lacy McCrary

Mary Janice Lacy McCrary, 90, of Wilmington, NC, passed away Saturday, February 20, 2010 at her residence, the Commons at Brightmore. She was born in Wilmington, NC, March 24, 1919, daughter of the late Leo Valvin Lacy and Katie Yopp Lacy. Her husband, of sixty-four years, Walter Bruce McCrary, Sr. preceded her in death in 2003. Mrs. McCrary was a member of Englewood Presbyterian Church in Rocky Mount, NC. Surviving is her son, Walter Bruce McCrary, Jr. and wife Becky of Wilmington; her daughter, Janice M. Johnson of Pensacola, FL; grandchildren, Todd McCrary and wife Tara, Amy Greenwood and husband Keith, Kim Ness and husband Erik, and Ashley Bradley and husband Brad; great-grandchildren, Delaney and Kelsey McCrary, Tyler Greenwood, Ben and Kate Ness, and Lacy Bradley; and loving dogs, Mike and Patrick. The family will have a private prayer service this week. According to her wishes, a celebration of Mary Janice's life will be held later in the mountains of North Carolina. The family will be at the home of Bruce and Becky McCrary, 409 Windchime Dr, Wilmington, NC 28412.
