Mary Linda Riesmeyer

She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a registered nurse, and spent most of her career in geriatric nursing, predominantly at Homeland in Harrisburg, PA. She was active in the Columbiettes and the Ladies’ Ancient Order of Hibernians. Linda was an avid reader. She volunteered at Good Shepard Ministry and Lower Cape Fear Hospice.

She is preceded in death by her brother, Michael L. Ryan and her son, James Gerard Riesmeyer.

She is survived by her husband, James Riesmeyer; daughter Jeanmarie Meadowcroft and husband Al; son, Thomas Riesmeyer and wife Cheryl; and grandchildren, Nicole and Jacob Riesmeyer. She is also survived by her brother Bernard A. Ryan, Jr. and his wife Kathleen; and her sister-in-law, Joyce Ryan.

A visitation will be held at St. Mark Catholic Church, 1011 Eastwood Road, Wilmington, NC in the church entrance Thursday, January 16, 2014 at 1:30pm prior to the funeral mass which will be held at 2:00pm. Entombment will follow immediately in the Columbarium of St. Mark Catholic Church. A reception will be held immediately following in the church hall.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Lower Cape Fear Hospice, 1406 Physicians Dr., Wilmington, NC 28401.
