Mrs. Sarah "Loretta" Rowell

Mrs. Sarah “Loretta” King Rowell 87 of Wilmington, NC gained her angels wings and met her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on July 19, 2023.

She was born on September 20, 1935 and the daughter of the late Edward and Mattie King of Wilmington NC. She was married to her late husband Paul Rowell Jr. for 43 years before his passing.

She was a loyal homemaker and the best wife to her late husband, as well as a wonderful mother to her four children and amazing grandmother to all her grandchildren. She loved going to church and being a part of church activities as well as supporting her late husband with his role as music minister in the home church.

She is preceded in death by her husband Paul Rowell Jr., two brothers William King and James King, her three sisters Emma Byrd, Margaret Eason, and Cora Pater.

She is survived by one sister, Lena Paulter of Castle Hayne, NC; her four children: Jimmy Evans Rowell (Peggy) of Burgaw NC, Rhonda Rowell Jacobs (Harold) of Carolina Shores NC, Susan Rowell Brewer (Terry) of Leland, NC and Tammy Rowell Ward of Rocky Point NC. She has 8 grandchildren: James Rowell, Anthony Rowell, Jared Irving, Terry Brewer Jr, Jimmy Brewer, William Brewer, Paula Pavlik, Nicholas Millis and Christopher Millis. She has several great grandchildren, great great grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held on Monday July 24, 2023 at Coble Funeral and Cremation Service at Greenlawn Memorial Park 1155 Shipyard Blvd Wilmington NC at 12:00pm with the Reverend Floyd Morris officiating.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jared Irving, Nicholas Millis, Christopher Millis, James Rowell, Anthony Rowell, Terry W Brewer, Jimmy Brewer, and William Brewer The family will receive friends following the service.

A graveside service will follow the visitation in the Greenlawn Memorial Park.
