Nancy Wise Rogers

Nancy Wise Rogers, 83, of Wilmington, passed away Saturday, October 20, 2012, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center, after a prolonged illness. She was born April 15, 1929, in Goldsboro, NC, to the late Daniel and Katie Fields Wise. Nancy was an active member of Winter Park Baptist Church for over 50 years. She was a loving mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Augustus Rogers, Sr.; a granddaughter, Veronica Curry and seven siblings. Survivors include her children, Suzanne Rogers Paradis (Patrick) of Goldsboro, NC, William A. Rogers, Jr. (Shirley) of Lumberton, NC, Kenneth Ray Rogers (Nancy) of Wilmington, NC and Nancy Rogers Ennis (Ed) of Wilmington, NC; grandchildren, Candace Jones, Heather Kramer, Clifton Rogers, Kenny Rogers, Tiffany Sasser, Jamie Roden and Erica Ennis Porter; seven great-grandchildren and many other special family members. The family will receive visitors from 7-9pm, Tuesday, October 23, 2012, at Andrews Mortuary, Market Street Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 2pm, Wednesday, October 24, 2012, at Andrews Mortuary, Market Street Chapel. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
