
She was born in Maple Hill, NC on February 23, 1945 to Mary Emma Foy and John Franklin Foy. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William James Stutzenburg, Sr. and her brother, Albert George “AG” Foy.
Stutzie was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, volunteer and friend. She was affectionately named “Grandy” by her grandchildren and that was a name she passionately embraced for life. She had such a giving heart and passion for helping others.
She is survived by her children; son William James Stutzenburg, Jr. and wife Michele of Wilmington, NC; son Michael D. Stutzenburg and wife Beth of Cranberry Township, PA; daughter Wendy J. Campbell and husband Keith of Willard, NC; nine grandchildren: Amanda Gayhart and husband Brent of Wilmington, NC ; Matthew Stutzenburg and wife Danielle of Waukesha, WI; Justin Stutzenburg of Wilmington, NC; Emma Stutzenburg of Cranberry Township, PA; Grace Stutzenburg of Wilwaukee, WI; Dylan McGuire of Wilmington, NC; Summer Stutzenburg of Rocky Point, NC; Calin McGuire of Burgaw, NC; Joel Stutzenburg of Myrtle Beach, SC; three great grandchildren; Charlotte Gayhart; Raegan Stutzenburg and Jackson Stutzenburg; five siblings; Helen Strickland of Leland, NC; Ann Watts of Wilmington, NC, Frank Foy of Wilmington, NC, Jane Foy of Wilmington, NC and Michael Foy and wife Brenda of Leland, NC.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1pm on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at Peace Baptist Church, 320 Military Cutoff Road, Wilmington, North Carolina 28405. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Burial will follow at Oleander Memorial Gardens, 306 Bradley Drive, North Carolina 28409.
