

Born on November 26th, 1944, in Queens, NY, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Maybelle (Keller) Stolz. She earned her education degrees from SUNY New Paltz.
In New York, Pattie worked for many years at the Red Hook Central Schools - she is remembered as an “icon of the district” as a Teacher and Principal at Mill Road School and Assistant to the Superintendent for Curriculum. During this time she forged the relationship between the school and Bard College creating the Arts in Education Program. Pattie was a member of Phi Delta Kappa International Association of Professional Educators and was involved with the Dutchess County Arts Council.
Upon moving to Sneads Ferry, NC in 2002, Pattie continued her passion for public service as the Head of the Educational Committee and Board Trustee member for the Historical Society of Topsail Island, as well as curator, docent, and educational camp assistant for the Missiles and More Museum. She also enjoyed spending her time with others as a former President of Topsail Ladies and as a devoted member of the Bunko Babes.
She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Bob Yost of Sneads Ferry, NC; her daughter and son in law, Tara and Todd Grieb of Red Hook, NY; her sister, Jacqueline Albers of Sneads Ferry, NC; her loving grandchildren, Peyton Horst, Kelcie Horst, and Trevor Grieb; a niece and nephew, along with many extended family, colleagues and friends.
A Celebration of Life is being held in her honor at Sneads Ferry Presbyterian Church, 776 NC-210, Sneads Ferry, NC 28460 on Saturday, July 16th at 11 AM with a reception to follow.
