
Born in Greenville, SC on May 11, 1938, Patricia (Patti) resided in Manassas, Virginia with her husband Bradley Quelch Wootten and spent considerable time in her second home in Surf City, NC. As a member of an Army family, she lived in and traveled to many places in both the US and the world.
Survivors include her husband Bradley, her father Odell W. Vaughn, mother Virginia Vaughn (deceased), sister Josephine Peavey, brother in law Marion Peavey, her brother Odell Vaughn Jr. (deceased), sister in law Christine Hilsky, daughters Ginger Auld, Lynn Turner and her husband Mark, Betsy Rowell and her husband Jeff, and Patricia Wootten. She has four grandchildren including Ashley Rowell, Austin Rowell, Sara Turner, and Abigail Rowell and numerous nieces and nephews.
Patti was retired from the banking industry, a noted pageant judge, a life member of the VFW Auxiliary, and a Stephen Minister.
She will be remembered as the wonderful and loving wife of Bradley for 49 years, a dedicated mother, daughter, and friend to the many who knew her. Her kindness, consideration, and willingness to always place others above herself were constant reminders of how she practiced her faith and lived her life.
The family will greet visitors at Andrews Mortuary, 1617 Market Street, Wilmington, NC 28401 on Friday, September 29, 2017 between 10-10:30 AM, followed by Graveside services at Oakdale Cemetery, 520 North 15th Street, Wilmington, NC 28401.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her name to the Friends of Oakdale Cemetery, 520 North 15th Street, Wilmington, NC 28401.
