Patrick Wendorf was a man who lived life to the fullest, following the mottos of “No Regret” “Carpe Diem” and “Sine Cura.” Patrick was a blessing to all who knew him, standing as one of the kindest and most generous human beings. He could often be found long past working hours helping those in need of HVAC services, or any other matter of need. He had been employed by Brinson & Sons. A sharp wit, followed by a warm smile. Mischievous in a loving way. A contagious personality, and one to never be forgotten. Patrick’s peace was found while on the water, in the warm sun. When he discovered his passion for kayaking, it was not unlikely to see him paddling any chance he could get. It was this hobby that led him to great adventures and lots of laughter. Patrick is in a place now where he will forever have perfect conditions for a kayak trip. His love for life will echo forever in each color filled sunset.
Patrick was preceded in death by his father Stephen Wendorf and grandparents: Ernie and Helen Gniadek and Linus and Margaret Wendorf.
He is survived by his mother, Linda Gniadek of Wilmington; stepmother Brenda Barwick, his girlfriend for life, Meghan Fuller; sister Christina “Chrissy” Wendorf and husband Richie Carr of Hampsted; brother Cody Wendorf, aunts: Patty Gniadek, Lottie Arnold and husband David, Debbie and Joe Latulipe, Tina and Billy McAllan; uncles: Mike Gniadek and wife Kathy, Joe Gniadek, Matt Gniadek and Sue, Karl and Susan Wendorf, niece Alyssa Martinez; nephew Nickie Martinez; cousins: Jed, Flynn, Max, Crystal, Cathy, Cate, George Henry.
