Pauline Grissom Copeland

Pauline Grissom Copeland of Wilmington, NC died Thursday, March 26, 2009 in Fayetteville, NC. She was born in Wilmington, NC on October 7, 1914, the daughter of the late Robert M. and Nettie Sidbury Grissom. She was preceded in death by her husbands, F. W. Copeland and J. W. Copeland, a granddaughter, Candace Williams Jordan, two brothers, Robert Grissom, and Maurice Grissom, and a sister, Evelyn Potter. Mrs. Copeland lived in Wilmington until 2008 when she moved to Fayetteville, NC to live with her daughter. She was the co-owner and co-operator of Baldwin-Copeland Dance Studio which opened in 1960. Mrs. Copeland was a longtime member of Sunset Park Baptist Church. Surviving are her daughter, Sandra C. Williams and husband Billy of Fayetteville, NC; two grandchildren, Sharon Kaye Adkins and Andrew C. Williams; five great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM Monday, March 30, 2009 at Andrews Mortuary Market Street Chapel by Rev. Chris Wroten. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until time of the service on Monday at Andrews Market Street Chapel. Memorials may be made to The Carrol S.
