Peggy Anne Harrell Moore

Peggy Anne Harrell Moore went to be with her heavenly father on October 11, 2009, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC. Peggy was born August 14, 1937, in Wilmington, NC, daughter of the late Leon B. Harrell, Sr. and Josephine Cash Harrell. She was preceded in death by two brothers, L. B. Harrell, Jr. and Bobby Ray Harrell. Peggy attended 12 years of public school in the New Hanover County schools and graduated from New Hanover High School, Class of 1955. She attended St. Mary's School, Wilmington College and graduated from East Carolina College in 1962. She taught at Bradley Creek Elementary and Tileston Junior High School. She was a lifetime member of Temple Baptist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher, member of several committees, and a faithful member of her beloved JOY Sunday School class. Peggy is survived by her husband of 52 years, Robert N. Moore; three sons, Keith Brantley Moore and wife Jill and two children, Brantley and Mary Suzanne; son Brian Kendall Moore; son Christopher Glenn Moore and wife Aimeé and two children, Carter and Lilleé; nieces Jo Anne Harrelson, Melissa Insco, Mary Jo Hobbs, Deborah Allen; nephews, Hugh Harrell, Bobby Harrell, Leon B. Pat Harrell, III, Kevin Harrell, adn William P. Moore, IV; sisters-in-law Mary Ann Harrell, Sarah Gay Harrell, and Marqueen Moore. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, October 14, 2009, at Temple Baptist Church by Reverend E. C. Mattock, II. Interment will follow in Oleander Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday at Andrews Mortuary Market Street Chapel. Memorials may be made to Temple Baptist Church Activity Fund in lieu of flowers.
