Phillip R. Pender Sr.

Phillip was born on June 14, 1941 in Wilson County, NC, son of the late Pauline Outland Pender and Rudolph Pender.

He loved the water, going fishing and spending time with his family and friends on his front porch.

Phillip is survived by his wife of 51 years, Barbara Pender; son, Phillip R. Pender, Jr. and daughter, Lisa Pender; grandchildren, Stephanie Pender, Dalton Pender and Justin Pender; brothers, Rudolph Pender and Joe Scott and his wife Bernice Scott; sisters, Janice Rogers, Shirley Horton and Paulette Lefczuk.

Visitation will be from 12:00pm to 2:00pm on Saturday January 12, 2013 at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Home, 3915 Oleander Drive Wilmington, NC 28403.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday January 12, 1013 at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Oleander Memorial Gardens, 306 Bradley Drive, Wilmington, NC 28409.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
