Raymond Joseph Violette

Ray was born on June 12, 1936 in Waterville, Maine to the late Rene J. Violette and Noella G. Violette. He is preceded in death by his sister, Josette Bartlett. He retired from the US Marine Corps after 20 years of service. After retiring from the Marine Corps, he had a long career with Boddie-Noell Enterprises. Later he was employed with Bob King Pontiac in parts delivery.

Ray is survived by his wife of 52 years, Marie Rogers Violette, 2 daughters, Jackie Violette Rezzonico of Ashburn, VA and Robyn Gail Violette of Raleigh, NC, 1 grandson Joseph Daniel Rezzonico. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, and many other loving relatives and friends.

The family will accept friends for visitation at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Home on Friday, November 9, 2012 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM.

A memorial service will immediately follow with Rev. Jerry Jackson of Wrightsboro United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Hurricane Sandy disaster relief.
