Ruby Mintz Stubbs

Ruby was born on June 14, 1937, to Tom Mintz and Florence Mintz. She is preceded in death by both parents, her husband; Rev. Martin J. Stubbs; her brother, Tommy Mintz; her sisters, Daisy Lawhorne, Barbara Lanier, Josephine Grainger, and her great, great grandchildren, Aria Nicole Cottle and Cooper Adam Hinckley.

Ruby was a member of Seagate Baptist Church; she held different positions on church committees and dedicated herself to the work of the Lord. She loved her church and her church family dearly. She also worked for many years as the jewelry manager at Kmart

Ruby was the matriarch of her large family whom she loved dearly. She was not only our mother, sister, grandmother, aunt. She was our rock, our advisor in all things in our lives, and she showed kindness and unconditional love to everyone. She was our friend. She was our everything! Her love will be passed down for generations to come.

Ruby is survived by her daughter, Sharon Bryant; her son, Don Harris (Carol); her sisters, Rochelle Piner and Brenda Piner; grandchildren: Angela Hinckley (Bert), Crystal Ward (Doug) and Hope McPhatter (Chris). She is also survived by ten great grandchildren, sixteen great, great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Ruby will be held on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Coble Funeral and Cremation Service at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 1155 Shipyard Blvd, Wilmington, NC 28412.

Funeral Service will start at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at Sea Gate Baptist Church, 6115 Oleander Dr, Wilmington, NC 28403. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 1311 Shipyard Blvd, Wilmington, NC 28412.
