Susan R. Harrington

Susan  was born to William and Pina Rhodes  on December 22, 1942  in Florida and at a very young age moved to Richwood, WV.  

Susan was preceded by her loving husband, Gerald Harrington.  Susan is survived by her son, Timothy Gregory and children Aaron and Luke, and her Daughter Pamela Spears, her husband Kevin Spears and children; Autumn, Willow, Forrester and Rhodes.  Her beloved dog Petunia is standing guard until she meets her again.  

Susan will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.  Trusting in Christ as a youth, Susan’s faith was evident to all, and prayer and praise were core elements of her Christ-centered life. A woman of noble character, with a generous and congenial spirit, she endeared herself to others by her gentle and selfless disposition. She was a genuine soul and a true and loyal friend, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Susan was also a well known citizen of Wilmington as the owner of Tom's Drug store located in Downtown Wilmington.  She also worked for Channel 3 for many years and loved to play golf with her many friends.  

The family will have a graveside service at 2:00pm on Monday, August 17, 2020, at Oleander Memorial Gardens, 306 Bradley Dr, Wilmington, NC  28409.
