

He was born on October 3, 1947 in Philadelphia, Pa. He was the son of the late George and Margaret Haberland.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kate; his beloved daughter, Sarah Haberland, and grandson, Connor Russell of Bensalem, Pa. He is also survived by his step-son, Dr. Edmund Tori and family of Maryland and a step-daughter, Denise Madden and family of Columbus, Ga.
Tom was a Viet Nam Veteran serving in the First Calvary Division. He had years of experience in the hospitality industry and was Director of Tourism Sales for the Valley Forge Convention and Visitor’s Bureau before his retirement.
He was an avid Eagles, Sixers and Phillies fan, an enthusiastic guitar player specializing in singer/songwriter music, an avid golfer and dedicated his life to serving others.
There will be a Celebration of Life Service at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Home, 3915 Oleander Drive, Wilmington, NC 28403 on Monday, April 11, 2016 at 1:00pm with Father Bob Kus officiating.
