William Roy Davis, Jr.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Joyce Davis; sister, Nina Davis Crow; grandson, Stuart Davis, Jr. and son-in-law, George McAdams.

He is survived by his daughters, Nan Davis (Stuart) and Elaine Davis McAdams. Great-granddaughters, Alysha Kerns (Will) and Kenzie Davis. Also, his brother “Bud” Davis of Wrightsville Beach and many nieces and nephews.

Bill was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and a friend to many.

He loved tennis, biking, gardening and being a member of Calvary Baptist Church and participating in the choir and being a deacon.

Bill served in the Army from 1951-1953. He attended Louisburg College and NC State Extension in Morehead City, NC. He worked at Henry Von Olsen Engineering Firm as an inspector for his career.

A celebration of Bill’s life is Monday, December 8, 2025 at Andrews Mortuary, Market Street Chapel; visitation at 10:00 AM with a service at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
