William ""Bill"" Hampton Miller, 92, of Wilmington and formerly of Charlotte passed away Thursday, October 29, 2009. He was born in Lincolnton, NC on December 3, 1916 to Wade Hampton Miller and Nell Elmore Miller. Bill owned and operated Plaza Grocery for 37 years in Charlotte, where he was also a faithful member of Central United Methodist Church. Bill loved to travel and has seen most of the U.S. and a lot of the world. Surviving are his wife of 66 years, June Elizabeth Sechrest Miller; two daughters, Dale Elizabeth McInnis and Carol Anne Price both of Wilmington; grandchildren, David McInnis and wife Monica, Anne McInnis, Dustin Price and Joshua Price; sister, Maie Pate of Florence. Graveside services will be held 2 pm Saturday, October 31, 2009 at Sea Lawn Memorial Park in Hampstead. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Lower Cape Fear Hospice Care Heritage Garden Fund, 1414 Physicians Dr., Wilmington, NC 28401.
