

William Douglas (Doug) Wycoff, age 66, of Wilmington began a glorious new journey with his Lord and Savior the morning of Thursday, June 11, 2020. He was born July 2, 1953 in St. Augustine, Florida to William and Betty Wycoff.
He was preceded in death by his parents William and Betty Wycoff, his father in law, James Bumgarner Sr., his brothers in law, Sherrill Brooks, Richard (Dickie) Ledford and James Bumgarner Jr.
He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of almost 48 years: Patricia Bumgarner Wycoff, his sister: Delores Brooks (Sherrill Brooks), his much-loved mother-in-law: Freda Ledford Bumgarner (James Bumgarner, Sr.), fondly remembered by his brothers in law and their wives: Roger Bumgarner and wife Peggy, Wayne Bumgarner, David Ledford and wife Kathy, Randy Ledford and wife Tammie and Bruce Bumgarner, his sister in law Brenda Bumgarner (James Bumgarner, Jr.), and many nieces and nephews and their families.
He graduated from South Dade Senior High School, Homestead, Florida and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Theology from Baptist Bible College, Springfield, Missouri. He dedicated his life to serving his Lord in ministry through pastoring, preaching and teaching. He touched many with his gifts and love of playing the piano and singing. He was a member of Liberty Church.
A celebration of Doug’s life will be held with visitation and funeral services at Coble Funeral & Cremation Service, 1155 Shipyard Boulevard, Wilmington, NC. The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Sunday, June 14, 2020. The Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. in the chapel on Monday, June 15, 2020 with Pastors, Gene Tilley, Randy Ledford and Jason Bloodworth officiating.
