Dillon Eli Lamm, 85, beloved husband of 63 years of Elgie Tedder Lamm, passed away on Friday, January 1, 2016. Dillon was born in Wilson County, September 8, 1930, a son of the late Jonathan and Maude Holland Lamm and had worked as a lineman for Wilson Electric for 33 years until his retirement. He had served his country in the U.S. Army as a corpsman during the Korean War. Besides his wife Elgie, he is survived by his sons, Tony Lamm and his wife Vicki of Lucama, William Keith Lamm and Timothy Barry Lamm and his wife Deborah, all of Wilson; his grandchildren, Josh Lamm, Crystal Lamm, Jacob Lamm, and Jonathan Lamm; his 7 great-grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and his brother, Bill Lamm of Goldsboro. He was preceded in death by his granddaughters, April Lamm and Melissa Lamm. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Peace Church 2838 Tilghman Rd. in Wilson. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park.
