Jimmie Dee Skinner Jimmie Dee Skinner, 77, beloved husband of Katherine Ellis Skinner; passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2015. Born in Wilson County, October 22, 1937, a son of the late Abram and Sally Batts Skinner, he was a lifelong resident and had been employed as an auto mechanic until his retirement. Besides his wife Katherine, Jimmie is survived by his son, Gregory A. Skinner and his wife, Donna; his grandchildren, Tyler and Haley all of Elm City; his sister, Mamie Winstead of Wilson; and his brother, Charlie Skinner of Wilson. His family will receive relatives and friends at Thomas-Yelverton Funeral Home 2704 Nash St. Wilson, Wednesday, August 19, 2015 from 6:30 to 8:30 PM. Graveside services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in Evergreen Memorial Park.
