TESSIE BOYKIN JONES Tessie Walston Boykin Jones, 90, of Wilson, went home to the Lord on Thursday, February 4, 2016. She was a dedicated retiree of BB&T and was a Gray Lady at the Wilson Medical Center. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who served as an inspiration to her family and friends. She had a passion for flowers and gardening and a deep devotion to the Wilson Primitive Baptist Church. She is survived by her beloved family, her son Dennis Boykin and his wife Kay; daughters, Pamela Galloway and her husband Wayne, and Debra Stone and her husband Steve; her step-sons, Johnnie Jones and Greg Jones. Her 5 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 6 step-grandchildren, 7 step-great-grandchildren, and several special nieces, nephews, and many, many special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mark and Mollie Owens Walston, her husbands, Luther C. Boykin and John R. Jones Jr., and her brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held Saturday (TODAY) at 7 p.m. at the Thomas-Yelverton Funeral Home, 2704 Nash St., in Wilson with visitation to follow.
