William Gady Holland

WILLIAM GADY HOLLAND William Gady Holland passed away January 21, 2016 and entered the Gates of Heaven. He was born to James Center and Varnita Lady Holland and lived most of his life in Centereach on Long Island, New York. He had retired from Kings Park Psychiatric Center and Kings Park Bus Company. He moved to Wilson,NC following the death of his beloved wife, Bernice Elizabeth Holland, to live closer to his daughters. They are Linda Borg and her husband Glenn of Elm City, Terri Holland of Wilson, and Vicky Williams and her husband Tommy of Wilson. He also leaves behind loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and so many wonderful memories. Gady loved his family, barbecuing, and his constant companion, his chihuahua, Spike. He loved to laugh, tell stories, eat at his cousin Goody’s restaurant in Salemburg, NC. The family wishes to thank the staff at Duke Regional Hospital in Durham for their expertise and compassion at this difficult time. Their kindness will forever be remembered. He will be missed, but we shall see him again, for Jesus said so! (John 11:25) Jesus said unto her “ I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in Me, though he were dead, yet shall he live” The service will be held in the chapel of Thomas-Yelverton Funeral Home, 2704 Nash St., in Wilson, Sunday at 3.p.m. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park.
