Barbara Kathryn Witte, age 73 of Statham, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was a member of Bethlehem Church. Barbara was a hairdresser and retired after 50 years. Barbara was known for her "Purple Hair of Courage" and her outgoing personality. She never met a stranger. One of her thrills was watching for the mail and her trips with her grandbabies to Walmart.
In addition to her parents, Barbara was predeceased by her husband, Bob Witte and her sisters, Nancy Jones and Brenda Langley. She is survived by her son, David (Heather) Witte of Statham; and her granddaughters: Katelynne Witte and Gracie Witte.
A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, March 4, 2024, at Barrow Memorial Gardens. Smith Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
