A native of Walton, County, Georgia, Mr. Phillips retired from the Barrow County School System in the maintenance department. He served his country faithfully in the United States Army.
Mr. Phillips is preceded in death by his parents, James William Phillips and Kattie Bradshaw Phillips. He is survived by his son, Ricky G. Phillips, Sr.; grandchildren, Ricky G. Phillips, Jr, and Logan D. Phillips; brother, Grover Phillips, and sister, Grace Murrell; several nieces and nephews also survive.
A private inurnment will be held at Barrow Memorial Gardens.
