Charles “Ken” Riley Sr. age 76 of Watkinsville passed away Sunday, November 29, 2020. Ken was a native of Greenville, SC and spent many years of his life living in Lawrenceville, GA. He earned his Bachelors of Science Degree from The University of North Carolina in business administration. Ken retired from The US Army as a Major, serving in Vietnam and The Berlin Conflict. Early in his working career, Ken was an industrial engineer and was plant manager at Skyland Textile Company. At retirement, he was the owner of Dixie Technical Marketing. Ken was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting, antique firearms and military history.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents, James Cecil and Nelle Hembree Riley; his wife, Linda Prince Riley and his son, Chuck Riley. He is survived by his grandson, Charlie Riley and his daughter-in-law, Rita Riley of Waynesville, MO.
A graveside service will be held at 2PM Sunday, December 6, 2020 at Evergreen Memorial Park, Athens, GA with Lori Carroll officiating.
