Daniel Wesley Bonner Sr.

Daniel Wesley Bonner, SR, age 90 of Winder, passed away June, 24, 2018. He was a long standing member of The Winder Wesleyan Church. Daniel was a veteran and served as an Army Captain during the Korean War. He earned his Master’s in Education from The University of Georgia and retired from The Gwinnett County School System as Principal of Dacula Elementary School. Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel Harper Bonner and Aleta Underwood Sampson and three brothers, David, Phillip and James Bonner. He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Lynn Bonner of Winder; daughters, Linda Brasfield Berry (Chase) of Winder and Danette Jennings (Tommy) of Winder; a son, Daniel W. Bonner Jr (Beverly) of West Palm Beach, FL; six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8PM Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at Smith Funeral Home, Winder, GA. Funeral services will be held at 10AM Thursday, June 28, 2018 at The Winder Wesleyan Church with Pastor Greg Moore Officiating. Interment will follow in Barrow Memorial Gardens.
