Dorothy Elizabeth Burgess, age 87, of Winder, GA, passed away Sunday, June 23, 2013. During her life, she enjoyed arts and crafts, crossword puzzles, and Dodgers baseball. Dorothy loved tea and sweets. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rhuland Edwin Burgess; and her parents, William and Blanch Frost Engle. Survivors include her son, Randy Burgess of Oregon; four daughters, Bonnie (Terry) Watkins of Texas, Dianne (John) Gillman of Buford, GA, Karen Schultz of Braselton, GA, and Robynn Moore of Duluth, GA; 14 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 10-11:00 am Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at Smith Funeral Home, Winder. The burial will follow the visitation, 11:00 am, Barrow Memorial Gardens, Winder. Smith Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
