Dwight Michael "Mike" Richards

Dwight Michael "Mike" Richards, age 72, of Winder, Georgia passed away on Monday, August 28, 2023. Mike was born in 1951 to the late Dorothy Isabell Pugh and James Henry "Jim" Richards. He was a graduate of Clarkston High School. He was a hard worker and was self-employed as a General Contractor with Richards Construction. Mike was an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting.

In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Norma Lee Vance Richards. He was also predeceased by his brother, Larry Richards, and his sister, Delores Fulcher. Mike is survived by his sons: Michael Richards and Brent Richards, both of Winder; brothers: Stanley (Connie) Richards of Cumming, and Wayne Richards and Dennis Richards both of Dahlonega; sisters: Nell Keith of Stone Mountain and Linda (Stanley) Reeder of Lithonia; a grandchild, Morgan (Hannah) Richards of Winder; and a great-grandchild, Emma Richards.

A visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday, August 31, 2023 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Smith Funeral Home, 755 Atlanta Hwy SE, Winder, Georgia. The Funeral Service will be on Friday, September 1, 2023 at 11:00 am in Smith Memory Chapel. The burial will follow at Barrow Memorial Gardens.
