Francis “Chuck” Carroll Johnson, age 84 of Winder, passed away Sunday, December 4, 2016. He was a native of Union, SC. Chuck was of the Methodist faith and was a Mason and a Shriner earlier in life. He loved to square and round dance. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert “Buck” David Johnson and Willie Mae Thompson Johnson; a brother, James Johnson and a sister, Ann McClure. He is survived by his wife, Beulah Hatchett of Winder; two daughters, Sherry Weeks (Wyman) and Jeannie Cunningham (Barry) both of Liberty, SC; three step-daughters, Rebecca Mendoza of Hoschton, Mary Partin (David) of Comer and Carrie Faris of Monks Corner, SC; six grandchildren, Ryan Weeks, Andrea Cunningham, Brittany Locke, Michael and Kyle Mendoza and Bailey Faris and three great-grandchildren, Reagan Adams, Sebastian Mendoza and Rylynn Hunter. A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM Wednesday, December 7, 2016 in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 12:30PM until time of the service. Donations may be made to The Brad Aikens YMCA in Winder.
