Gary Eugene Snider, age 51 of Winder, GA, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2015. He was a native of Long Beach, CA. He was of the Baptist Faith and a member of Union Baptist Church. He was a veteran of Dessert Storm serving in Iraq and he retired from The United States Air Force. He was a member of D. A. V. and The American Legion. He is survived by his wife, Daleene Hall Snider of Winder; two sons, Phillip Snider of Stockbridge and Joshua Snider of Winder; a daughter, Leslie Maples (Wayne) of Carrolton; his parents, Gary and Patricia Hughson Snider of Stockbridge; two brothers, Fred Snider of Winder and Charlie Snider of Hampton and a sister, Helen Snider of Stockbridge. Several nieces and nephews survive. Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 2, 2015 from 5 until 8 PM at Smith Funeral Home, Winder, GA. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at Union Baptist Church, Winder. Interment will follow at 2:30 PM in GA National Cemetery, Canton, GA. Memorial contributions may be made to Union Baptist Church.
