Gordon Albert Harrison, age 76, of Bremen, Georgia passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2023. He was the son of the late Joe Barnes Harrison and Ruby Estelle Hendrix Harrison and he was raised in a Methodist home. He lived in Georgia, Texas, Mexico, and ended up back in Georgia in the mid 2000s. He enjoyed learning about United States history and researching family ancestry. Gordon loved art and music and taught himself to play the piano. He had a gentle spirit and he was a laid back, independent person. He was an avid reader. in the 1980s he built his own home, in Bethlehem, from recovered building materials. Gordon's career was in automotive manufacturing and he was employed by Honda. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from Georgia Southern University.
Gordon is survived by his nephews: Steven Hendrix Harrison and Andrew Ritchie Harrison; niece, Elisa Ann Harrison; and his brother, Joe Barnes Harrison, Jr.
A visitation for family and friends will be held at Smith Funeral Home, 755 Atlanta Hwy SE, Winder on Tuesday, October 3 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm. A Memorial Service will follow in Smith Memory Chapel at 2:00 pm.
