Houston Ennis Amick, age 77 of Bethlehem, passed away Monday, March 16, 2015. He retired from the US Navy SeaBees after 23 years of service. He was an engineer for Jacob’s Engineering and oversaw the creation of 13 parks for Gwinnett County Parks and Recreation. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Thomas and Berdena Schowe Amick and a brother, Lyle Amick. He is survived by his loving partner, Janice Hart of Bethlehem; four daughters, Heather Davis (Brandon) of Franklin, TN, Kristi Monson (Michael) of Mobile, AL, Denise Carver (Bruce) of Long Beach, MS, and Lisa Graham (Tim) of Harwich, MA; two step-daughters, Terri Pugh (Anthony) of Bossier City, LA and Kristie Brightwell (Stephen Thompson) of Buford, GA; the children’s mother, Rita Amick and seventeen grandchildren, Rebecca Davis, Andrew, Nicholas, Patrick, Katherine, Ethan and Matthew Monson, Bryce and Brianna Carver, Arielle and Mackenzie Keifer, Tyler, Kaylee and Lyla Pugh, Kayla Brightwell, Bailey Gerrells and Jacob Thompson. A memorial service will be held at 2:30PM Monday , March 23, 2015 at Georgia National Cemetery, Canton GA .
