Jonathan "Brian" Cox, age 46, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2026. He was born on September 1, 1979, to Mike and Vickie Cox in Athens, Georgia. Brian loved woodworking and made many creative projects using slabs and logs. He was great at drawing and airbrushing.
Brian was predeceased by his father, John Michael Cox; and grandparents: Joyce and Choice Holliday and Sue and Earl Cox.
Brian is survived by his mother Vickie Cox of Statham; brother and sister-in-law: Shane and Michelle Cox of Statham; nephew, Dylan Cox; niece, Brittany Cox Hogan; and many aunts, uncles and cousins who loved him.
A Visitation for family and friends will be held at Smith Funeral Home in Winder, on Saturday, March 21, 2026, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm. A Graveside Service will be held at Barrow Memorial Gardens on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at 1:30 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a special account at Smith Funeral Home that is being set up to help the family.
