Joseph Presley Scott, age 92, of Winder GA, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, Silas and Ada Presley Scott. Joseph was a member of the First Christian Church of Winder. Survivors include his wife, Martha Scott of Winder; daughters and son-in-law, Karen and Dr. Dwight Austin of Winder and Pam Scott of Columbus, GA; and three grandchildren, Lauren, Amanda, and Spencer Austin. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home, Winder, on Thursday, July 11, 2013. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 12, 2013 at the First Christian Church of Winder with Reverend Jim Brooks officiating. The burial will follow the service at Rose Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Bread of Life Food Ministry, 990 Martins Chapel Rd, Lawrenceville, GA 30045.
