Karla Faye Maddox Hockman, born July 11, 1962 went home to her Heavenly Father on Friday, October 20, 2023. A lifelong resident of Barrow County, Karla served the Lord through church bus ministry, as a Girl Scout volunteer, and a Barrow County School Bus Driver for over 20 years; she is now in the Kingdom of Heaven worshiping at the feet of our Lord.
Karla is preceded in death by her parents Ross Maddox and Bettye Dockery Maddox; sister Angela Maddox; and brother Robert Maddox
Karla is survived by her children: Brooke McIntyre Benson, Brittany McIntyre Case, and Maddie Faye Hockman; stepdaughter, Carol Bales Griffin; "nephew-son" Chad Maddox (Brandi & Gracie Lou); as well as a multitude of other extended family and friends.
Graveside home going celebration will be held Saturday, November 4 at 2:00 pm at the Maddox Family Cemetery located on Union Church Road adjacent to Union Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, be kind and show love to someone everyday and tell them about God's grace and love for them.
