Madison Grace Lee, better known as Madi Grace and Badi Madi, passed away Thursday, December 25, 2025. She was an 18-year-old graduate of Winder-Barrow High School, Class of 2025. Madison was a tenacious ray of sunshine with an infectious smile who lived life in full color and a talented young woman known for her many pursuits. She proudly served as a former captain of the WBHS Color Guard, where she shined beneath the Friday night lights. She was also one of the founding athletes of the WBHS Girl’s wrestling team, where she was known for her fierceness and takedowns. Madison was a multi-instrumentalist for the WBHS concert band, playing both the tuba and bass clarinet. Additionally, she followed the family tradition of playing co-ed softball Badi Madi style. At the time of her passing, she was studying health administration through Strayer University.
Madison is survived by her loving, tight-knit family: her parents, Scott and Collene Lee of Winder; grandparents: Sandra Watson of Winder and Larry and Dianne Lee of Jefferson; brothers: Sidney Porter (Danielle) of Baldwin and Blake Lee (Peyton) of Jefferson; sister, Lauren Harkins (Tayler) of Spartanburg, SC; nieces and nephew: Elena, Will, and Savannah Porter; the love of her life, Walker Hudgins of Auburn; and her dogs: Dugout and Jasper of Winder.
To know Madi was to love Madi. She will be remembered as a driven young woman who lived with purpose and determination, always pushing herself to rise higher and give her very best. Her passion for excellence was matched only by the light she brought into the lives of those around her—a light that will never be forgotten.
