Mark Haney family, Mark will be missed by all his friends at the YMCA
Charles Rutledge and the rest of the guys.

I've wondered what could be said to ease your pain. Nothing will. You two were just made for each other. You completed each other better than anyone I've seen in this life. You'll carry the best of Mark with you for the rest of your life and will see him again on a golden shore.- Your brother, Mike Turner

Oh Sherry, I was in total shocked and sadden just learning of Mark!! He and I were just talking some weeks ago about how I'd been missing him up at the Y,bragging on his weight loss. I always told him how much I admired him pressing on in spite of his conditions over the years!!
KNOW, he will greatly missed by his YMCA family! I will miss our conversations on guns, you, your dogs, my little Oreo story and our every day battles.

During the memorial service, Mark's brother, Sam Haney, will say a few words.  After that, if anyone would also like to speak please do so.  Mark was unique and "Mark Stories" abound, so please feel free to share one.  He would have gotten a kick out of hearing them.

Sherry I am so sorry for your loss. You always kept us in stitches with your Mark stories. He loved you so much and was completely devoted to you. You were lucky to have had him as long as you did. He was a good man.

Once you were loved by Mark you were fiercely loved.  Through  good times and bad I know  his love for me never failed.  The same goes for for his children,  his grandchildren, and the rest of his family and his friends. Due to his sickness he may not have been able to keep in touch with all of you but he loved you.  Mark was laid back and straightforward and hated dressing up. So for his memorial service he would not want anything fancy so it is "Come As You Are".   If he were there with us he would be in his overalls and a t-shirt or one of his wild Hawaiian shirts.  Love to all.

My husband Gordon and Mark "Buck" were inseparable high school chums.  I have enjoyed hearing so many happy stories over the years.  Even though he was already in failing health, Mark (and Sherry) came for several visits to see Gordon after he had a massive stroke in 2012.  Mark was such a loving, faithful friend. We are so sorry that Mark was so sick for so long--he was a fighter and so was Sherry.  Praying for peace and comfort for the family at this time.
