Margie Ann Tunnell Brooks

Margie Ann Tunnell Brooks, age 80, of Jackson, GA, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2013. She retired from Electro Air Corporation where she was in charge of quality control for over 30 years. Margie was the eldest of five children. She graduated from Winder High School in 1949. She was preceded in death by her husband of over 62 years, Willie T. “Bill” Brooks; both of her parents, Willard Benton and Althea Tunnell; a sister, Marilyn Faye Coleman; and three brothers, Jessie Tunnell, Coy Tunnell, and Ricky Tunnell. Survivors include her three children, Kenneth Wade Brooks of Griffin, GA, Henrietta Jane Brooks Johnson of Madison, GA, and Howard Allen Brooks; four grandchildren, Alexis Jade Brooks, Paul C. Johnson, Bryan J. Johnson, and Tina Brooks; five great-grandchildren, Hayden, Kasey, Logan, Landon, and Troy Johnson; and other family members and friends. A funeral service will be held at Smith Funeral Home, Winder, at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 16, 2013 with a visitation from 12-2:00 pm prior to the service. Reverend Johnny Wright will officiate. The burial will follow the service in Barrow Memorial Gardens, Winder. Smith Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
