Martha Ann Royal

Martha Ann Nunnally Royal passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2025. She was born in Athens, Georgia on October 19, 1939. She married the love of her life Phillip Edward Royal, Sr. on March 8, 1958. She taught preschool for over 35 years at Winder First United Methodist Church.

Martha is predeceased by her parents, Frances Lee Sims Nunnally Healton and William “Boots” Authur Nunnally, Jr., and daughter, Phyllis Andrea Royal Berry.

She is survived by her loving husband Phillip “Joe” Edward Royal, Sr.; sons: Phillip Edward Royal Jr. (Fiancé Liz Coan) and William Christopher Royal (Tonya); son-in-law Larry Berry; grandchildren: Jacob Tyler Royal (Laura), Andrea Larae Berry-Holt (Ronnie), Joseph Taylor Royal (Renee), Jackson Trenton Royal, Kaylin Mackenzie Royal, Alexa Jane Royal Wall (Terrell), Logan Grant Royal, and Carson Brooks Royal; great grandchildren: Derek McCade Holt, Phyllis Andrea Holt, Porter Grayson Royal, Lewis-Rhett Cruz Holt, Aiden Walker, and Emersyn Walker; and sister, Joan Louise Nunnally White.

A visitation for family and friends will be from 11:00 am until 1:30 pm on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at First Christian Church of Winder, 275 N. 5th Avenue. The Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 pm in the church. She will be buried at Rose Hill Cemetery.
