Mary Lou David

Mary Lou David, 96 of Winder, passed away Friday, June 21, 2024. She was a native of Helen, GA and a lifetime resident of Barrow County. Mary retired from R&R Manufacturing and had worked as a seamstress at other textile plants throughout her career. She was of the Christian faith and was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Monroe, GA. Mary loved her family, especially her grandchildren.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, G.S. and Martha Allison Coker; her husband, Hugh Claude David; sons: Jimmy Coker and Clyde David; daughters: Zeffer Smith and Linda David; brothers: Harve and J.D. Coker; and her sisters: Willie Mae Stover, Fannie Brewington and Johnnie V. Coker. She is survived by her son, Hugh David (Ann) of Winder, 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and numerous great-great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will be held Sunday, June 23, 2024 from 4PM until 6PM at Smith Funeral home, Winder, GA. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM Monday, June 24, 2024 in the chapel of Smith Funeral home with Pastors Chris Conner and Joe Marshall officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.
