

Mary Virginia Good, age 90 of Winder, passed away on Monday, January 29, 2024. She was born in Walton County in 1933 and was a graduate of Monroe High School. Mary was a member of Winder First United Methodist Church. She loved playing Bridge and was a member of several Bridge Clubs. She enjoyed needlework and she was an avid gardener. Mary loved her family and when her children were young she was both a Girl Scout Leader and a Cub Scout Leader. Mary enjoyed traveling the world and was a travel agent and co-owner of G & G Travel in Winder.
Mary was predeceased by her parents: Belle Evans and Leonard Hugh Parker; her husband of 32 years, Grady Edward Good; her sons, Grady and Hugh Good; and her sister, Joanne Malcom. Mary is survived by her children: Kenny Good of Athens, Kea (Dart) Fifer of Clayton, and Karee (Todd) Thomas of Buford; eight grandchildren: Laura Dominy, Charlotte Ferguson, Mary Beth Smith, Christopher Smith, Parker Smith, Dan Fifer, Kate Warner, and Christie Thomas; twelve great grandchildren; brothers: Junior Parker, Johnny (Margaret) Parker, Doug Parker, and Michael (Gail) Parker all of Campton; and a sister, Brenda (Billy) Stapp.
The Funeral Service will be held at Winder First United Methodist Church on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at 11:00 am. Dr. Bill McKoy will officiate. The family has asked that donations in memory of Mary Good be made to the American Diabetes Association.
