Mildred Aiken King, age 77, of Snellville, GA died Friday, October 19, 2012. Mrs. King enjoyed sewing, baking, reading, and most importantly, spending time with her family. She was also a member of Orrville Baptist Church in Anderson, SC. Mrs. King was preceded in death by her parents, James Monroe and Thelma Louise Snipes Aiken, her husband, Horace King, and her brothers, Willie Ray Aiken and Melvin Aiken. She is survived by her daughters, Debra King and partner Kelly of Decatur, GA, Donna Hobgood and husband Rick of Alpharetta, GA, Dottie Daniel of Hilton Head, SC, and Janita Holcombe and husband Terry of Hoschton, GA; grandchildren, Matthew, Ryan, Jessica, Kyle, and Jared; brothers and sister-in-law, John J. Aiken, and Charles and Peggy Aiken all of Anderson, SC. A memorial service for Mrs. King will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home, Winder, GA.
